The opportunity to create totally bespoke watches was too tempting for us at HWC. So our first foray into the world of hand engraving came with the ultimate challenge – Rolex 904L steel.

316L stainless steel was created to withstand the sweat and moisture build up due to the proximity of the bracelet and case to skin. In addition to this, the steel prevents the the crown and case back corroding especially on waterproof watches. And then, Rolex 904L.

Dedicated to perfection

Rolex Steel : 904L. A stronger, more expensive and complicated steel to engrave due to its hardness. Rolex had to replace most of their production line and tools to be able to handle this steel, when they started producing watches with this metal. The more expensive steel required a new production techniques with huge expense, hence its exclusivity to Rolex.

Our fist foray into hand engraving: King Of Kings. This watch is a unique creation which has taken 8 months from conception to final completion. We took the traditional method of hand engraving, made even more difficult as this is created on Rolex hardened steel.

The iconic image of Christ with the Crown of Thorns, looking towards His father in heaven. The image is both beautiful and haunting, an example of what HWC aspire to. We can engrave designs and images of your choice on the case, bracelet, case back and clasp.
